elliotts Share Fund Manager Dalton Nicol Reid have been ranked the best performing median Australian share fund, in the Top Australian Share Funds, Mercer figures show.
The median long only Australian fund gained 3.5% in the March quarter, compared with gains of 3.1% on the S&P/ASX 300 Index and 3.2% on the S&P/ASX 200.
Fund managers returned 4.5% in the December quarter, which was 0.2% less than the S&P/ASX 300.
This March quarter has produced the best result from Australian share fund managers, since December 2008. The March quarter was notable because most fund managers outperformed the S&P/ASX 300 Index, whereas normally only about half do that, Mercer said.
In the year to March 31, the median fund returned 1.6%, whereas Dalton Nicol Reid’s Australian Equities High Conviction portfolio (previously named Incrementus) returned 6.8% and since inception has provided an annual return of 14.3%.
It is for this reason, elliotts have continued building their relationship and utilising the experience of the DNR Investment Team.
